Hello and welcome to my coupon story! My name is Tina and I'm a mom on a mission! Each week I share how I save 50% or more on household products, personal care products and much more at CVS and Walgreens. I've always tried to use coupons and find deals but in January of 2024, I started couponing on a regular basis after a divorce and moving my family half-way across the country (a story for another time). I saved over $1,500 in 2024 and I've built up a good size stockpile. I keep things simple, so check back often for the my latest coupon story and flashback stories (coming soon).
This week I picked up a few items at CVS. See breakdown and pics below:

Coupon total: -$6.50
After coupons: $23.97
Extra Care Pass Reward applied: -$10.00 (in my account)

Paid $10.28 out of pocket (includes tax)
Earned $10 Extra Care Bucks (can be applied towards next purchase).
After all discounts, coupons and rewards each product cost about
10 cents each!!!
Total savings: $27.89 (75%)
(All digital coupons were on my CVS account. I also have the CVS Extra Care membership- cost $5 per month but you earn $10 in Extra Care Bucks reward for your next purchase).
Tips:
- Create an account on CVS.com (free to join)
- Download the CVS app on your phone.
- Join CVS Extra Care Pass $5 monthly fee (this is not required but it can help maximize savings in the long run).
- CVS weekly ads run for 2 weeks except for a holiday week (coupons reset on Sundays).
- Review the ad and select the digital coupons for the products you'd like to purchase. Products can also be scanned in store on the CVS app to check on promotions and available coupons on products you'd like to purchase and double check you've selected the correct product/coupon.
- Aim to purchase products that are on Sale, Digital Coupons are available for the product(s)and Extra Care Bucks are earned for your next purchase. Keep rolling those Extra Care Bucks to keep out-of-pockets costs to a minimum!
